  • ORANGE (DELAYED/MODIFIED): Delays, partial cancellations, or district specific adjustments. 

  • RED (CLOSED): All in-person CavUnity events, fundraisers, programs, meetings, and activities are cancelled.

Notes & Additional Information: 

• All scheduled events, fundraisers, and programs in the regions with full day closures will be cancelled and rescheduled at a later date.

• All internal and external meetings in all regions will shift to a virtual format.

• Members in the regions with a full day closure will be working remotely beginning at 10:00 AM. Members in the regions with a delayed opening will work remotely until 11:00 AM.

• An update on the CavUnity Operational Area Travel Advisory will be provided in a separate post. 

Evidence in Decision Making: 

• Snowfall of 10 cm - 15 cm fell overnight across many parts of Nova Scotia.

• Wintery mix continuing through the days in some regions of Nova Scotia.

• Snow and freezing rain expected to change over to rain in the morning hours.

• Road condtions in many regions are still slippery, the closure of some offices and worksites and the delayed opening of others will allow crews time to safely clear streets, roadways, and sidwalks. 

• The storm will pass most of the region by 12:00 PM today.
