Who can Apply: Students in grades 7-12 all across Nova Scotia are eligible to apply. Part of our 2026 expansion is the expansion across the entirety of Nova Scotia to cover all counties and regions.
District #1 (Central Region): Eastern Communities (Preston Township, Chezzetcook, Musquodoboit Harbour, Eastern Shore, Porters Lake, and surrounding communities).
District #2 (Central Region): Dartmouth Region (Cole Harbour, Dartmouth, Eastern Passage, and surrounding communities).
District #3 (Central Region): Metro/Central (Halifax peninsula and surrounding communities).
District #4 (Central Region): Bedford & St. Margret's (Bedford, St. Margret's, and surrounding communities).
District #5 (Central Region): Sackville (Lower and Middle Sackville, Beaver Bank, Fall River, and surrounding communities).
District #6 (Southern Region): Lunenburg County (Bridgewater, Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and surrounding areas)

Mission Statement:
CavUnity is a youth-led organization dedicated to engaging students in grades 7-12 across Nova Scotia in meaningful volunteerism within their communities. Founded by youth, for youth, our mission is to inspire leadership, foster a sprit of service, and empower young people to make a positive impact through action driven initiatives.
Through our events, fundraisers, programs, and workshops focused on our initiatives Care, Recreation, Hunger & Homelessness, Environment, and Mental Health, Addictions & Well-Being, we develop the leaders of tomorrow while addressing the needs of our communities. CavUnity values unity, inclusivity, diversity, equality, and service, creating opportunities for youth to grow, lead, and contribute in ways that strengthen both themselves and their communities.

How to Apply: To apply you will have to chose a method to complete your application which are listed above.

Application Process:
Complete and submit the application. You will receive a confirmation email when your application has been received to be reviewed by members of our team.
All applicants who apply will for one of the remaining executive positions will be required to complete an interview. All general member applicants will receive an email with next steps and on-boarding information.
All applicants will receive confirmation of their position between Wednesday February 11, 2026 - Saturday February 28, 2026.
Please note that all applicants will receive a position within CavUnity whether general member position or executive; this will be determined following the review of your application (preferences and what's available) and your interview.
Interview Process (Executive Positions Only):
Once your application is reviewed you will be contacted through email (the email provided in the submitted application) to schedule an interview.
The interviews are meant to get to know you as the applicants and meet to talk with members of both our Executive Leadership Team and Executive Team. During the interview you will be asked questions similar to the application and additional questions regarding your position may be asked.
Following the interview you will receive confirmation of your position, next steps, and on-boarding information between Wednesday February 11, 2026 - Saturday February 28, 2026.
Interviews will take place:
Online via Google Meet (preferred method).
In-person at a location of you convenience (if applicable).
During interview we will review the roles and responsibilities documents for your selected positions.
Selection Process: Please see the break down of our selection process. This process is broken down from start (when your application is received) to finish (the final selection of all positions and roles).

All applicants for executive positions will be interviewed.
Interview evaluations will be reviewed.
Selection of all applicants will take place.
All applicants are selected for the best role based on their experience, skills and interview evaluation.
